As you all know, things change. It is time for us to announce changes that happened to our practice recently.
If you have seen our previous blog, we have recently installed an impressive retinal scanner, Optos Daytona Plus in our Emsworth practice and it has been proven to be a great asset. We have used it to detect and monitor various retinal pathologies. We have been showered by compliments from our patients that we managed to diagnose the problem and took action promptly, which invariably prevented vision loss. Our patients are thoroughly impressed with this new technology and are very happy we can provide them with a thorough eye examination they deserve. Our patients from medical and engineering background are in awe with its capabilities and its quality it can produce in such little time.
On the staffing side, we have newly appointed two new colleagues in our Storrington practice.
Bridget Smith passed her professional exams in 1990 and has been a qualified board-registered dispensing optician with 27 years of experience dispensing challenging prescription and patients with demanding lifestyle. She has a great sense of style and knows how to source unique designs to complement our patients. This is in keeping with one of the principle philosophies of the practice.
Matthew Kerr is an optical dispenser who will be undergoing education and training to become a qualified dispensing optician. However, he is not green in this field. He has 25 years experience starting as a optical laboratory technician which led him to become laboratory manager. He then became an optical dispenser in 2000. He is particularly good at choosing the correct spectacle frame for the correct type of lens. Did I mention he is also very good at fixing? You can see his profile here.
