Seer is an advanced specialist optometrist who has tremendous amount of experience in ophthalmology (medical care of the eye) especially the posterior segment of the eye. He has been running Medical Retina and Vitreo-retinal clinics alongside top consultants in respective fields in Queen Alexandra Eye Unit, Portsmouth since 2009 to care for conditions such as macular degeneration, inherited maculopathy, retinal neavus, care following retinal surgery and other retinal conditions.
With his additional qualification in Glaucoma, he is also proficient in diagnosing Ocular Hypertension and various types of Glaucoma as well as co-managing existing Glaucoma with Glaucoma Consultants. For patients who would like a private full assessment to rule out glaucoma, please specify that when you make the appointment.
He is a primary care practitioner who cares for vision and eye problems. On top of that he has special interest in diagnosing and treating common medical eye problems which mostly has to be treated in the Eye Clinic. He is qualified to prescribe Prescription-only Medications.
Seer is heavily involved teaching and education. He supervised many optometrist trainees and teaches ophthalmologist trainees. He and Mr Stephen Lash, a consultant ophthalmologist, jointly operate successful Four Seasons Optometry Education which is a zero-profit organization that supply educational meetings for optometrists in the South Coast Hampshire. This is one of many ways he helps to improve the standard of eyecare in the community.
