How we deal with COVID-19.
Updated: Mar 21
We at Martin Steels would like to keep the community safe while still provide much needed eyecare services to our patients. To keep the risk of COVID-19 to the minimum, the management of Martin Steels Ltd has decided to reduce opening hours to:
Monday - Friday 10am to 4pm
Saturday and Sunday CLOSED
We have also decided to increase time gap between patients to prevent the feeling of overcrowding.
It is saddening that COVID-19 is affecting the global population and how we live. This includes travel, healthcare, business, economy and most importantly human lives (and animals to a less known degree). Please follow public health guidance from the government here. We as an optometric practice is following standard operating protocol and we are also taking additional measures on our own to protect our staff, their family and of course you, our patients.
If you have any ocular problems or emergency and you do not think you have COVID-19, we can still help as usual. This is even more so because of additional strain to the hospital services.
If you have or suspected to have COVID-19, please avoid visiting the practice. This includes temperature, flu-like symptoms and cough. If you need help or advise, call us. We may offer advise over the phone when For ocular emergencies, please contact your local Emergency Eye Unit. They may be able to advise whether it is an emergency or not. Please telephone first, DO NOT just present yourself.

For clinically justified examinations, please keep your appointment unless you have or suspected to have COVID-19.
Be kind, be considerate.
